It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Monday, October 24, 2016 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Bertram Hounsell age 90 years of Pound Cove. Predeceased by his parents; Percy and Florence, wife; Esther, sons; Barry and Percy, grandson; Darryl, sisters; Stacie, Gertie and Ina and brother; Carmen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons; Dennis (Rosemarie) of Wesleyville, Alban of Pound Cove and David (Darlene) of Terrace, B.C., daughters; Rosalind (Larry) of Ottawa, Ontario, Patsy (Glenn) of Pound Cove and Tina (Bob) of Pound Cove, grandchildren; Shawn, Valerie, Nancy, Crystal, Steven, Geoffrey, Dillon, Travis, Victoria, Matthew, Andrew and Abby, great grandchildren; Christopher, Bradley, Tyler, Danielle, Ocean, Paris, Alexander, Gage, Paige, Morgan, Kagan and Beau, daughter-in-law; Cathy and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Mark's United Church, Templeman with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating. Interment followed at St. Thomas United Church cemetery, Pound Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Thomas United Church Cemetery Fund, Pound Cove.
