It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Attwood announce his passing on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at the DVA Unit at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his son Edward (Glenys) Attwood, daughters Judy Hurley (Tony) and Loretta Lee (Gerard) all residing in Corner Brook; seven grandchildren: Richard Attwood (Krista), Robert Attwood (Wendy), Andre Hurley (Jaime), Kristy Lee (Peter), Daniel Lee (Nancy) and Jenna Lee; nine great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Evelyn Miles (Cecil) and Frances Beck; brother-in-law Robert Beck; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Ruby (nee Beck) 1997; parents Edward and Priscilla Attwood, sisters Blanche Knee, Ada Rendell and Maggie Pinsent and brother George Attwood. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
