It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Brake, on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 61 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband Wayne, son A.J, sisters: Michelle, Trudy, Rosalind (Brent); brothers: Sean, Wayne, Brian, Jimmy (Sandra), Tony, Paul; aunts Marie and Theresa Byrne; uncle Joe Byrne; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law from the Brake family and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents James and Rosaleen Walsh, sister Maxine. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 5th at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street with Father Don Leonard officiating, followed by cremation. Friends may visit Fillate's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
