At the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 of Ralph Augustine Carragher, Stratford, age 87 years. Ralph obtained his Teacher’s Certificate from Prince of Wales and taught three years before pursuing a career with the Bank of Canada in Ottawa. Ralph gave in to his passion for cars and pursued a long career as a respected salesman and later managing Avis Rent-A-Car. Ralph was a lifetime advocate for the PEI Addictions Centre volunteering and mentoring his time. Ralph could be found at many hockey rinks in the role of coach, G.M. or spectator. Ralph was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He dealt a great game of 45’s and enjoyed many social events. If there was music, you would find Ralph on the dance floor. Ralph will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, his acts of kindness and commitment to the church. Ralph treated anyone he met as family. He was most proud of his children, nine grandchildren and “Little Mary”. Beloved husband of Mary (MacMillan). Dear father of Michele Carragher, Michael (Joanne LaViolette), Judy Roper (Donnie) and Lynn Cabel (Bill). Loving grandfather of Natalie (Stuart), Nicole (Zack), Christopher (Lauren), David, Charlotte, Marc (Erin), Mary-Jane (B.J.), Emma (Ryan) and Agi. Brother of Frank and George (Patsy). Brother-in-law of Marie Carragher and Betty Carragher. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Estelle (Flood) Carragher, his son David, sister Helen Keefe (Les), infant brother George, brothers Eugene (Rita), Leo, Louis (Mary), Gerry and sister-in-law Edith Carragher.
