Wayne D. Smith, 58, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Wayne graduated from Amherst Regional High School. He had been a heavy duty research analyst with WIX Filters for 28 years. He was a member of International Plastic Modeler's Society. Wayne's passion was building WWII model airplanes. He took part in many competitions and received numerous awards for his work. Wayne was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and his "Good Time Guy" personality will be missed. Surviving are his wife, Jill Smith of Fort Wayne, mother, Marjorie Smith of Ontario, daughters, Randelle (Matthew) Bell, Morgan Smith both of Kitchener, Ontario; step-son, Conner Klotz of Fort Wayne, and sister, Wendy (Ted) Parkes of Mississauga, Ontario.
