NEW GLASGOW - Chester Miles Story, 67, New Glasgow, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Darlington, England, he was a son of the late William and Lylian (Bell) Story.
He lived in New Glasgow from 1982 – 2003 and from 2003 - 2013, Chester taught English as a second language in Korea. He resided in the Philippines for two years before returning to New Glasgow in 2015. Throughout his life, Chester played traditional Irish music and was a member of various music groups in England, Korea and New Glasgow, where in 1998 he founded the session group which later became, "The Dock Gang".
Surviving are his wife, Jennelyn Mungka Story; son, Liam, Halifax; brothers, Clive (Lucy), Lancaster, England; Martin (Maureen), Darlington, England; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alan.
In honour of Chester's wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
