Passed peacefully away at Kenny's Pond Retirement Residence surrounded by his loving family, George H. Parsons, aged 93. Predeceased by his parents Shenstone and Isobel Parsons; his twin sister Grace; brothers: Harold and Lloyd, and sisters: Dorothy, Jean and Jennie. Leaving to mourn his devoted and loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy (nee Rose); daughters Beverly Nightingale (Maurice), Heather Parsons McGrath (Brian); adoring grandchildren Kim Boudreau (Lee), Adam Kelloway (Adrianne), Daniel Nightingale, Tina Murphy (Sean); great-grandchildren Sienna and Cohen Kelloway, Brooke and Meghan Murphy; sisters Joyce Guilfoyle and Flo Ash his many nieces and nephews and countless other special friends and relatives. George was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be lovingly missed. His sense of humour was with him to the end. He was a respected Dental Technician and Denturist for more than 60 years. Special thanks to Kenny's Pond and their amazing staff for their wonderful care and support, and also to our resident friends. Cremation has taken place, and relatives and friends can visit the family at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Tuesday, November 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at First United Church, 221 Park Avenue, Mt. Pearl at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16th.
