It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Georgette Alice Peter on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Colville Manor, Souris at the age 94 years. Born on January 18, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Nee: Goulet) Briere. Leaving with fond and loving memories are nephews Patrick Pearsall and John Lienweaver along with special friends Cathy & Gerard Baldwin and Kim McCarthy. Beside her parents Georgette was predeceased by her husband Paul T. Peter, cousin Robert Goulet and a circle of extended family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home from where the family will be accepting visitors on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m., preceded by a prayer service to which all are invited to attend at 5:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating and giving thanks for the life of Georgette will take place from St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Church, St. Teresa, on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. Georgette was a life long member of the CWL to which her time and efforts are and will not be forgotten. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Georgette’s memory are encouraged to donate to the Parkinson Society Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI or a charity of donors choice. Family and friends wish to take this time to also give special thanks for care and attention given to Georgette by the care providers of Perrin’s Marina Villa, Montague & Colville Manor, Souris.
