KNOWLES, Florence Marguerite, age 72, of Strathcona Place, Pictou, passed away November 14, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Harold Sydney & Catherine S. (Shea) Male.
Prior to retirement, she was employed with Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital in Pictou for over 26 years.
Florence enjoyed bingo, music, dancing, and travelling to Cuba and Ontario.
Surviving are daughters, Marie (Ralph), Roberta (Hughie), Glady (Todd); sister, Mary (Granville); grandchildren, Scott, April, Justin, Jared, Johnathon, Robert, Alisha and Biancia; great-grandchildren, Quintin, Madelyn, Paityn, Kolten, Lily, Teagan, Chloe and Emma; partner & best friend, Wayne Gerrior.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Gladys.
There will be no visitation at her request. Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Friday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Seaview Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Stella Maris Hall.
Donations in her memory may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
