It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eva Mildred Haines nee Seaward announces her passing on Monday, November 14th, 2016 at the Corner Brook long Term Care, in her 86th year. Eva leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons; Brian (Fay) Haines, and Christopher, daughters; Geraldine (Dan Coombs), May (Reg Hancock), and Rhonda (Desmond Burridge), 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Eva also leaves to mourn her sister; Florence Hill, and many nieces, nephews and a large circle large circle of family and friends. Eva has been predeceased by her husband Albert, son Ace, daughter-in-law Audrey, brother Harry Seaward, twin brothers Allan and Allister, twin sister May, and sisters Olive, and Violet. The family would like to express a special thank-you to the staff on the 5th floor of the Western Memorial and 4th floor of the Long Term Care for the kindness and care shown to their mother. As well, a special thanks to Fay for her many years of care and friendship, and to her special buddy, Sherry Penney, who spent time with her both at home and while hospitalized. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church in Deer Lake. The family will be receiving family & friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 2pm at Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main St., Deer Lake, NL, with Reverend Myles Vardy officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of The Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
