River Anne Highgate 71, died peacefully November 9, 2016 at the Sechelt Hospital Sechelt, BC. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Kaye Highgate.
Also surviving are her sisters Claudette Ivey (Gord), Mariette Berinstein (Eddie), Rita Cloutier, and her brothers Richard Cloutier, Larry Cloutier, Ron Cloutier (Judy), Joe Cloutier, many nieces and nephews.
River Anne was predeceased by her triplet Lucille and Sage.
She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, mainly raised in Edmonton Alberta, and spent the last 23 years of her life on the Sunshine Coast. River Anne was an avid walker and participated in the Terry Fox Marathon on the Sunshine Coast. Her passions were art, family and friends.
Although not well for sometime, she faced the last years of her life with strength, courage and humour.The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Forgie for her incredible care over the years. The many home support workers, and the nurses at Sechelt Hospital for their excellent care.
