Lorna passed away peacefully at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by family and friends.
Lorna was born and raised in North Vancouver. She went on to become a teacher and later moved to the Sunshine Coast.
With her husband, she enjoyed homes in Roberts Creek, Halfmoon Bay, Davis Bay and Gibsons, from which she took part in community activities; these included Scottish country dancing, bridge and volunteering.
Lorna was predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Ron, and brother Sandy. Lorna leaves behind her step-daughters Carol Huggins and Susan Clarke, her niece Cathy Young and nephew Graham Young, together with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn, her longtime friend Enid Nye and former companion Frank MacLeod, and many more friends.
Many thanks to Dr. Paetkau and all her caregivers who made sure Lorna's last days were comfortable.
There will be no service by Lorna's request.
However, there will be a Memorial Tea at Georgia Mirage, Eaglecrest Drive, Gibsons on Wednesday, November 23 from 2pm to 4pm.
