It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Wayne Coleman announces his sudden passing on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 64. Born in Port-aux-Basques, John Wayne was the son of the late John Wallace and Queena (Priddle) Coleman. Leaving to mourn his wife Hilda (Durnford) of 43 years, his son, Neil Coleman (Shawnda Kane) and daughter, Nadine Rossiter, grandchildren, Santanna Coleman, Kirkland King and James Rossiter, brother and sisters, Barry (Sylvia) Coleman, Alvena Francis and Bonnie (Dan) Duff, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. The family will receive friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux- Basques on Wednesday and Thursday, November 16 and 17 from 2-4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral will be held at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle-aux-Morts on Friday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Maryrose officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
