It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joyce (nee Guinchard) Plowman of Port Saunders announces her passing at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on November 14, 2016 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter: Doris (Gary) Reid; grandchildren: Jean Ann (Kirby) Biggin, Terri-Lee (Clar) Reid, Tammy (Gerard) House, Alysson (Pete) Power, and Philip (Stephanie) Reid; great-grandchildren: Krista (Mark), Ashlyn (Nate), Carly (Cody), Diana, Adam, Cole and Ty; sisters Nora Brown, Ina Randell, and Nancy Reid; brother Bruce; best friend Gertrude Lavers and many relatives as well as a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by husband Herbert Plowman, parents Rufus and Prudence Guinchard, sister Blanche Biggin, brothers Con, Lawrence, David and George Guinchard. The family received visitors at the Anglican Church in Port Saunders on Wednesday followed by the funeral service on Thursday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Marlene Leggo officiating.
