Anita (Lynch) Schenk, age 81 of Santa Clara, California formerly of Jerseyside, NL passed peacefully away at her home in California in the presence of her loving husband Dave on Saturday, November 5, 2016 after a long and enduring fight with Alzheimers. Anita lived in California for many years and it was there that she met and married her husband Dave Schenk and settled into their home in Santa Clara. Anita enjoyed traveling and especially the times she traveled home to see her family and friends. She loved books, animals, talking walks, writing letters and mostly she loved her family. Predeceased by her parents William and Johanna Lynch, and her brother Peter Lynch whom she loved and adored. She leaves to mourn, her husband Dave, who loved and cared for her until her very last breath; her niece Ann (Wayne and family) who was her shining light, her friend and whom she loved like a daughter; her nephews Shawn (Joanne and family), Petie (Tracy) and Darryl (Chantelle and family); as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. The family also wishes to thank all those who cared for Anita during her last few months. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home in Placentia. Visitation to take place on Saturday from 5pm to 9pm, and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11am on Monday, November 21st at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
