SMITH, S. Wayne – 73, Kemptown, passed away peacefully, following a brief illness, on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Sherman and Vivian (McNutt) Smith. Wayne was a member of North River United Church where he served on various committees. He was a truck driver with Midland for 25 years and enjoyed working in the woods. Wayne is survived by his wife, Fay (nee Donald) Smith; sons, Micheal (Tracey) Smith, Winslow, Prince Edward Island; Kevin Smith (Christine Brown), Red Lake, Ontario; grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Julia Smith, Caitlin Hamilton, Kierstin Smith; sisters, Heather (Bruce) Sandeson, Barbara (Stephen) Smith, Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews. Wayne’s family will receive friends from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016, in Kemptown Community Hall, Kemptown. Private family interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Wayne’s memory to Bible Hill Cemetery or North River United Church are welcomed.
