It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Brett announce her passing at her family residence on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the age of 56 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Brian; sons: Brian Jr. (Corine), Darrell, and Colin; grandson Finley; mother Irene Tarbett; brothers: Skip (Cindy), Peter (Laura), Jerry (Holly), and Shawn (Sheila); sisters: Debbie (Frank) Whalbourne, Betty (Ray) Murphy, Marie (Larry) Duhart, and Corina (Karl) Layden; sister-in-law Alma (Ray) Whalen; brothers-in-law: Melvin (Valerie) Brett, Bill (Joan) Brett; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father William Tarbett and mother and father-in-law Lewis and Eileen Brett. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street, with Rev. Tanya White officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
