AITKEN, Marie (Evelyn) Hodgson, passed away Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, January 1, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Gladys and Arthur Hodgson. Marie, with a Master’s in Education, was a respected educator in Halifax for over 40 years, specializing in Special Education in the Halifax area. Marie was a wonderful, loving companion, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed by all. Marie is survived by her loving companion, Edward MacDonald, sister Doris Donaldson, Dundas, Ontario, sister-in-law, Marjorie Hodgson, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ed Aitken, sisters Edith MacGregor, Jean Martin and brother, Bob Hodgson and nephew, George Foote. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 9th, 2016 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro, Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating.
