Peacefully with his family by his side at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 of Fred Handrahan of St. Patrick’s Rd. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Batchilder) and dear father of Paula (Wade) MacEwen, Becky (Tony) MacAdam, Patty (Lee) Jay, Mike (Christine) and Amy Handrahan. Loving Grampy of Freddie and Charlie Jay and Mickey and Emma Kate Handrahan. Brother-in-law of Fran Handrahan. He is the last surviving member of the Handrahan family being predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Resting at St. Cuthbert’s Church, St. Teresa for visiting hours on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday with funeral mass from St. Cuthbert’s Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to the Kings County Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
