Pictou Landing - Mary Margaret “Peggy” Irving. Peggy Irving, 62, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at home in Pictou Landing. Born in New Glasgow on July 11, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Anna MacMillan. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph; daughters: Jennifer O’Hearn (Mark), Leslie (Peter) and Jane Baillie (Dustin); as well as grandchildren: Shelby, Lauchie, Rudy, Elton, Lily and Reed. She is also survived by sisters: Patricia (Jeff) Young and Jane (Jim) Guild; brothers: Douglas (Diane), James (Cathy), Stephen, Robert (Arlene Smith) and Ernest (Karen); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Raymond. Peggy worked for a number of years as a rural carrier for Canada Post. She was a long-time member of Trenton Legion Ladies Darts. Peggy most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who loved her dearly. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 am Saturday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Tom MacNeil officiating. Family flowers only.
