Merchant, Arlene Marie (Davis) - 80, Bible Hill, passed away December 7, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax on January 12, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Alexander “Lex” and Marie Davis. Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She leaves behind her cherished children, Catherine and Al Fergus, Guelph, Ont.; Thomas Marshall, Truro; Scott Marshall, Bible Hill and Deborah Merchant, Trenton as well as numerous grand and great grandchildren; siblings, Myrna and Basil MacDonald, Truro; Carol and Patrick Ezekiel, Halifax; Stephen Davis, Halifax and Janet and Henry Eisses, Truro; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Bruce Marshall. Husbands; Scotty Marshall, David Merchant and Robert Pelton. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 2pm in St. David's United Church, Pictou Rd. Bible Hill, with Rev. Donna Lawrence officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Arlene’s memory may be made to the Colchester Branch SPCA or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
