Dyer, Bernice (Cookie), age 78 years, passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Admirals Coast Retirement Home. Predeceased by her husband Patrick, her parents Richard and Helen Mahon, her brothers Basil (Mary), Richard (Joan), Billy, Doug (Jean), Jack and her sisters Margaret Rebic, Isabel Noseworthy (Alex), Joan Scott (Leonard), Helen Scott (Roland), Marie, Betty Cameron and Patsy; her brother and sisters-in-law Mary Lynch (William), Bridie Power (Kevin), Michael Dyer (Rosella), Johnny Dyer, Paddy Devereaux, Fred Kendall, Ray Bonia and Edward Walsh. Leaving to mourn her children Donnie, Brenda (Barrie Classon), Michele (Art Rice) and Jane (Kevin Elliott); her grandchildren Colin and Jennifer Elliott and Patrick Rice; sister Lorraine Walsh; brother-in-law Bill Dyer (Ruth); sisters-in-law Loretta Hickey (James), Nell Devereaux, Ann Kendall, Aggie Dyer, Madonna Bonia and Linda Dyer as well as a large circle of family and friends, especially her good friend Ruth Clarke. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay, on Wednesday, December 14, from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove at 9:30 a.m., with inurnment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in mom's memory can be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery Committee.
