Passed peacefully away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Patrick Murphy, long time City Counsel employee, aged 72 years, was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Agnes Murphy; brothers, Lar, Anthony, Jim and Billy; sisters, Marg Nelson, Catherine Dwyer and Patsy Whitten; and his brothers-in-law, John (Plum) Williams and Cyril Williams. Patrick leaves to mourn, his wife, Norma Murphy; daughter, Dawn (John) Whelan; and his sons, Patrick (Marilyn) Murphy, Glen (Sue) Murphy and Todd (Krista) Murphy. Also left behind are his grandchildren, Johnny (Emma), Natasha, Holly (Chris), Jessica (Roy), PJ, Bruce, Sarah, Brandon and Justin; great-grandchildren, Conner, Lilly, Paisley, Nathan, Hailey, Joshua and PJ; brothers, Mike (Beth) Murphy and John (Yvonne) Murphy; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Walter) Michaels; and his buddies, Bo (Cat), Denise, Jackie, Rhonda, Debbie and Gina as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation on Wednesday from 11am-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Thursday, December 14, 2016 from St. Teresa's Church with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No flowers by request.
