It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Calvin Brown on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016, at St. Clare's Hospital. He will be remembered by his loving wife Stella (nee Coward); son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Ainsley; his mother Stella, (father George-deceased) and sisters Marjorie Warren (John) in Arnold's Cove and Amy Brown (Ben -deceased) in Burin and their families. Also left to mourn are the many siblings, nieces and nephews of the Coward family, as well as many lifelong friends. Having received a kidney transplant in 1978, Wayne faced many health challenges throughout the years with courage and good humour. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Peter Noel (Family Physician) as well as the staff at St. Clare's for their extraordinary care, which brought great comfort to Wayne and his family. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11 am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium.
