It is with great sadness the family of the late Violet May Lockyer announce her passing on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her step-children Victor, Stephen, Anne, and Shawn; her mother Mildred Lockyer; her siblings Larry (Pam), Bob (Pat), Marie (Tom), Millie (Dale), Cyril (Toni), Saul (Jean); sister-in-law Thelma; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she dearly loved. She was so proud to be "Aunt Violet" and each of them brought so much joy into her life. Violet was predeceased by her partner Derek Pearson; father Robert John Lockyer, brother Charlie, and brother-in-law Joe Mullins. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Tuesday, December 20th 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers for our sweet Violet during the evening visitation at 8 pm with Reverend Tanya White and others who wish to express their love/memories of her. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Janeway Children's Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
