Suddenly at his late residence in Tignish, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, of John Francis (Franklyn) Perry, age 80 years. Born at Skinners Pond on February 23, 1936, he was the son of the late John F. and Regina (nee Perry) Perry. He is survived by his sister, Arlean (late Mark) Gallant of the Tignish Seniors Coop Home, and by a brother-in-law, Ben (Mary) Bernard of Harper Road. Franklyn is also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, and coffee shop friends. He was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Lena (late Melvin) LeClair; Johnny (late Florence) of Nova Scotia; Elva (late Roy) Doucette of Skinners Pond; Lloyd (late Eleanor) Perry of Miscouche; Raymond Perry of Nova Scotia; Una (late Rob) Skelhorne of Nova Scotia; and Marie Bernard. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Brendon Gallant celebrant.
