Kathleen (Payne) Cardillo, 98, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2016 at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus. Kathleen was the daughter of the late George and Lida (Dickson) Payne and was raised in North River and later moved to Ottawa where she resided for the next 80 years. She is survived by daughters Brenda Cardillo, Ellen (Paul) Pastirik and son Bob (Mary) Cardillo, as well as five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmen and by siblings Margaret, Mike, Carl, and Angus Payne. A celebration of Kathleen’s life took place in the Hulse, Playfair, and McGarry Funeral Home, Ottawa, on Monday, December 5 with interment following in Capitol Memorial Gardens.
