Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at the age of 85, Elizabeth Emily Rumsey (nee Meadus). Predeceased by husband Reginald (1985), infant son John Tolson, father and mother Albert and Rosamond Meadus, sister Jean, brothers Dolph and Alex. Leaving to mourn daughter Judy (Ed Newell); sons: Rudy (Joan) and Reg (Sharon); grandchildren: Kerry (Renee), Sandy (Brenda), Ted (Tammy), Rudy (Cindy), Lisa (Mark), Adam, Ashley (Richard), Megan and Regi (Billy); great-grandchildren: Tyler, Lexi, Haleigh, Paige, Jeremy, Landon and the love of her life Dakota; brothers: Edward (Theresa, deceased), Walter (Ros), Bill (Patsy), sister Lorraine (Glen)and many nieces and nephews, members of the George Street United Church UCW and many dear friends, especially Mildred Tucker, Phyllis Bursey and lifelong friend Bertha Conway. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the George Street United Church Senior and Men's Choirs. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, December 23rd from 12pm-9pm and Saturday, December 24th from 10am-2pm. Funeral service will take pace from George Street United Church on Monday, December 26th at 11am, cremation to follow funeral service. Private family interment will take place at a later day.
