Passed away courageously at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, January 6, 2017, Alonzo Stead of Musgravetown, aged 82 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Edith of 64 years; children Florence (Rick Stead), St. Phillips, Eugene (Kay), Musgravetown, Terry (Nancy), Fort McMurray, AB, Dean (Louise), Musgravetown, Craig, St. John's and Wendy (Craig Pilgrim), Corner Brook; grandchildren Darcy, Dana, Deanne, Megan, Mitchell, Jonathan, Luke, Ashley, Victoria, Jill, Sara and Adam; great-grandchildren Hannah, Kennedy, Ella, Sam and Theo; brother Melvin Stead, Port Rexton; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Saturday, January 7 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday and Monday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from Heritage United Church, Musgravetown with interment at United Cemetery, Musgravetown. In his memory, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Heritage United Church, Musgravetown or charity of one's choice.
