Passed peacefully away at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She will be lovingly missed by her family, daughter Barbara (Tim) Gushue; son John (Sheila); daughters: Jo-Anne (Stathie) Prattas, and Susan Thorne; also left with many fond memories nine grandchildren: T.J. Gushue, Jonathan Gushue, Jonathan Thorne (Heather), Jillienne Thorne (Mark), Joanna Thorne (Trevor), Alethea Prattas, Alivia Prattas (Jessie), Alyssa Prattas and Samantha Stevenson; six great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Anthony, Marcel (their mother Tanya), Mya (her mother Corissa) and Adaline; two brothers: Arthur Hunt (Berthiar) and Eldon Hunt (Kit); sister Audrey (Gerry) Tobin; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Thorne; parents: Arthur and May Hunt; brothers: Utley and Edward Hunt; sisters: Betty Parsons and Annie Delaney. Special thanks to the staff of 4 South LTC for the wonderful care of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In keeping with Jean's wishes cremation has taken place. No cards or flowers by request. If one chooses a small random act of kindness would be gratefully appreciated.
