Teresa Bernadette (Gushue) Gale

The most wonderful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was the rock of our family. Teresa Bernadette Gale, 73, passed away on at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on January 14, 2017. Born in Sydney she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Whalen) Gushue. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gale; her two children, Joseph (Lisa), Colorado and Dwayne, Vancouver; precious grandchildren, Tatianna, Lauren and Erin; brotherS, Tom (Addie), Raymond and Terry; sisters, Janette (the late Jack Fletcher), Marlene (John) Dixon, Kim (Albert) Harriet, Brenda (John) Aucoin and Dotti (Andrew) MacNeil. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Glen; brothers, Patrick, David and Robert; sisters, Florence Smiley, Carol Lahey, Linda Colbourne and Debbie Janes. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Hall. Dr. Pahill, Dr. Abboud and the nurses of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre also Dr. Abboud and the nurses of palliative care. A special thank you to Jackie Brake and all other VON nurses and staff of 4B Cape Breton Regional and the volunteers of palliative care who brightened her days with flowers.
Donations in Teresa’s memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Patient Care Fund. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel.
