Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, with his loving family by his side, of Oscar Joseph Gallant, formerly of Piusville, P.E.I., age 83 years. He was born on November 6, 1933, to his parents Mary Ann and Henry Gallant. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Theresa and children Glen (Debbie) St. John, Ruby (Ronnie) St. John, Tony (Colleen) St. John, Allan (Arlene) Piusville, Brent (Sharon) Alberton, and Rosie (Ronnie) Summerside. Cherished Papie to Tammy (Mark), Shelley (Arthur), Tanya (Ryan), Darcy (Melissa), Melissa (Kelly), Sara (Matt), Andrea (James), Paul (Kaley), Krista (Mitchell), Bradley (Kelsey) and Mitchell (Evie). Great grandchildren, Isabelle, Katie, McKenzie, Caleb, Anthony, Brandon and Cameron. Sadly missed by his brother Ben (Lois) and sister Edna (Everett) Pre-deceased by brothers and sisters Josie,(Emily) Rose,(Larry) Louise,(Henry) Paul, Evelyn,(Edward) Alyre (Rita) & Wilfred,(Delia).He is survived by Brothers and sisters-in-law, Father Lawrence, Peter and Aldona, Elmer and Florence, Frank and Joanne, Shirley and Norm, Merina and Cyril, and Pal (Ron) Leona (Clarence) and Mary Gallant. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel Alberton. Visitation Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, 11 a.m. from St. Anthony's Church, Woodstock.
