Carleton MacRitchie Campbell of Englishtown passed away January 13, 2017 at Alderwood Rest Home, Baddeck NS at age 72. Carl was the son of the late Thomas Campbell and Isabel (Montgomery) Campbell.
Well known for his cast iron stomach and sharp sense of humor, when Carly wasn’t traveling the province working from one job site to another or puttering around Campbell’s Hill in his off time, he enjoyed nothing better than sharing a nice long story with family and friends over a heated game of crib with the sound of fiddle tunes playing in the background. His sense of work ethic and commitment to getting a job done right was only surpassed by his love and dedication to his family. We’ll miss you dearly Dad... He is survived his wife, Emiline Joyce ( MacAskill ); son, Sandy ( Daria); daughter, Monica (Jim) and grandchildren, Tom and Jenna.
Cremation has taken place, a celebration of Carl's life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 21st, at Englishtown Community Hall with burial at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck.
