The family of Mary Burke, would like to extend a gracious thank you to everyone for the love and support shown during our Mom’s brief illness and final passing. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of family and friends who sent food to our homes, called or sent messages and cards of support and condolences, or made generous contributions to various charities in her name. Your thoughtfulness helped us deal with the sorrow and loss. We wish to acknowledge the invaluable support provided by Dr Archibald and the Palliative Care Team from the CBRH who helped us immensely in those final days; to Rev MacDonald and Christ the King Anglican Church for helping us through Mom’s final journal and to the staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel for their efficient and professional support. A special thank you must be extended to the nursing and support staff of Levatte’s Lane, Harbourstone Enhanced Care, who mom came to know as her extended family over the past five years. We are forever indebted for their patience and kindness towards our Mom and how she was cared for with such dignity and respect. Our mom will be missed forever, but we know she will live in the hearts of all who shared our grief during this difficult time.
