It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Olive Marie MacAulay announce their mother's passing surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 92nd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her four daughters and two sons: Willie (Alan) Loder, Rosalind (Sherman) Wheeler, both Summerside, Pauline MacAulay, Corner Brook, Laura (Derek) Ellsworth, Mount Pearl, Monty (Janet), Dean (Peggy), both Summerside; 12 grandchildren: Nicole (Marc) Julien, Allana Loder, both Halifax, NS, Dale Wheeler, Summerside, Adrian (Robyn) Wheeler, Hughes Brook, Lindsay MacAulay, Bugeja, Japan, Vanessa (Stephen) Caravan, Donald (Catherine) MacAulay, both Summerside, Peter (Shannon) Ellsworth, Graham (Allison) Ellsworth, both Mount Pearl, Robyn MacAulay (Kim), Jenelle MacAulay, both Halifax, NS and Michael (Holly) MacAulay, Irishtown. She was a great Nanny Mac to 16 great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart: Christopher, Brandon, Sophie, Avori Marie, Paige, Skyler, Nathan, Big Chase, Alexander, Little Chase, Baby Bryan, Aiden, Avery Grace, Ryder and Rylie, and Kaeleb; sisters-in-law: Mona MacAulay, Harriett McLean, Inez Carter and Veda Hann; special cousin Ivy Snook, Edmonton, AB; as well as a large number of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Donald James MacAulay (1996), Baby Wilfred James, Parents Lavenia and George Hann, parents-in-law Laura and Alexander MacAulay, sisters Minnie, Mina, Effie, Bessie and Rosie; brothers Herbert, William, Bertrum, Elwood, Winston and Kenneth. Mom was the baby and last surviving member of the family for Lavenia and George Hann. She was embraced with much love and caring by all who knew her, especially by the staff on Women's Wellness floor, WMRH, her home care worker of seven years, Wanda Curtis, and her family and friends. There is not enough thanks to give to all of you. Special thanks to Dr. Whitten for his years of T.L.C. and to him and Dr. Hawley for the extra care over the last two months of Mom's hospitalization. Visitations will take place at Bethany United Church, Summerside beginning Tuesday evening, 7-9 p.m., and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m; from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 2 p.m. with Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. The interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Summerside. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Mom's favorite charities, Operation Smile, Bethany Memorial United church or the SPCA.
