Katherine Shirley MacAulay, age 81 of, Glace Bay passed away at the Glace Bay Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Ewan and Agnes (Clarke) MacAulay. Katherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was employed at the Glace Bay Hospital in the Outpatient and E.C.G departments. Katherine is survived by her very special niece, Nancy who was the daughter she never had. Katherine is also survived by a niece, Luanne and nephews, David and Kirk. Besides her parents, Katherine was predeceased by her sisters, Georgie, Margie; brothers, Donald and Sonny. By her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Interment will be held in Catalone Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A; Lung Association or Wild Life Federation.
