Barbara Andersen (Lockerby) Frotten

FROTTEN, Barbara Andersen (Lockerby) 1930-2017 – Barbara passed away peacefully at the Willow Lodge Home For Special Care, Tatamagouche, NS on February 2nd, 2017, after a lengthy battle with Vascular Dementia. Barbara was the youngest daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Allan) Lockerby. Barbara was a talented singer and taught many students music in the schools of Tatamagouche and surrounding areas. Barbara enjoyed singing for many years, with The Tatamagouche Area Singers and participated in the local plays directed by Betty Murray. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, and brother Ninian Lockerby. She is survived by her son Richard Williamson (Angela) Tatamagouche, NS., and her beloved grandchildren David Williamson (Kelsey Boisvert) Edmonton, AB and Rebecca Kathleen (Alexander Ross), Tatamagouche. She enjoyed many summer visits and trips to the West to see her family over the years. She is also survived by a sister Judith (Walter) Camozzi, Vancouver, BC. There will be no service by request with internment in Lockerby Cemetery, at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of The Willow Lodge for all their care over the last three years, friend Bill Thompson for all his care and support to Barbara, Dr. Christopher Moss, for his many years of care and Dr. Dan MacDonald and Nurse Practitioner Darla MacPherson for recent care at Willow Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Society or The Willow Lodge.
