It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Mary Theresa LaCosta announce her passing on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at her daughter's residence in Upper Sackville, NS at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Finty (Ann), Teddy (Odelle), Joan (Wayne) Mushrow, Lynda (Conrad) Russell, Jerry (Elvie), Randy (Majella); grandchildren: Christina, Kenny, Nicole, Cynthia, Bridget, Lisa, Philomena, Renee, Amy, Penny, Chad, Chantal, Jason, Ashley, Kirk; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary (Mamie) LaCosta, Carmalita (Carmie) Russell; brothers: Samuel (Samie) Penny, Finten Penny; as well as many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Isabelle Penny; husband William Bernard LaCosta; son William Joseph (Billy) LaCosta; brother John Penny and sister Agnus Hynes. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly, NL on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Father Krishnarao Nekala officiating. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Piccadilly, NL. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly.
