And doing my hair
Went above and beyond

You supported me and my family
Right to the end!
To the volunteers and music
We looked forward to it all-
The singing, the dancing
We sure had a ball
To Jobes Funeral Home staff
We give lots of praise!
Your professionalism and guidance
Got us through those days.
To neighbors and friends
Who phoned, e-mailed too
To those who sent cards
I am thankful to you!
For the food you so generously
Brought to our door
For donating to the food bank
The Bus fund and much more.

Kind words spoken with vim-
And the choir for their rendition
Of my favorite hymn
To my winsome pallbearers
Both honorary and proud
It filled me with joy
To see you in the crowd!
Tim, Derek, Darryl, Troy-
Dylan, Keegan and Kye-
So diligent and humble
For my final good bye!
What fine readers I had
And they spoke right on cue-
Yes, Teri and Melanie
You made me proud too!
And, when you read the poem, Lyn,
So eloquent and fine
It brought back many memories
Of that great life of mine!
To my good friend Bruce
You sang my favorite song
For my best friend “Angie”
And you all hummed along!
And when you looked up
With your mischievous grin
Everyone got involved
With the “Saints Marching In”!
To the Senior Citizens and Pensioners
With your “Honor Guard” so fine
You showed such compassion
As you stood in a line!
To the Royal Canadian Legion
With your “Honor Guard” proud
With such humility and grace
You all were endowed!
To the caterers at the church

Served a fabulous lunch-
And you all were so gracious!
I’ve lived my life to the fullest
It’s now time to go-
It’s time to meet up
With my favorite beau!
I’m so proud of my children
My grandchildren too!
I’ve been lucky and I’ve seen
All the great things they do!
That’s what life’s about-
Good living-Good friends
And, yes, I’m contented
As my life ends!
