NICKERSON, Rupert Wesley – 75, Barrington Passage, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born July 27, 1941, he was a son of the late Clifton and Esther Nickerson. Rupert had a lot of enjoyments in his life, one of which was quilt making. He also spent time on the water, enjoying fishing and lobstering. He also liked to go clamming. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Porter) Nickerson; children, Aaron (Tracy) Nickerson, Heidi (Chris) Nickerson; siblings, Loretta Isle, Leroy (Luba) Nickerson, Barbara (Gary) Nickerson; grandchildren, Brendan, Tommy, Carlyle, Graci, Scott, Dustin, Crystal, Anastasia, Zoey; and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Scott Nickerson; siblings, Augusta Chase, Mavis Cavicchi, Stirling Nickerson, and Douglas Nickerson. There was a visitation held on Sunday, from 7-9 p.m., at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service was on Monday, February 20, at 2 p.m. from the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. Interment followed in the Old Kirk Cemetery, North East Point. It was requested there be family flowers only; in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
