CAMPBELL, Albert Arnold Ross – Age 75, of Canaan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on February 20th, 2017. Born on February 23rd, 1941 in Waubamik, Parry Sound, Ontario, Albert was a son of the late David and Ruth (Hall) Campbell. Albert studied mechanics in Toronto. He worked for several years at Coca-Cola and then for Good Year Tire. He moved to Nova Scotia in 1978 and worked as a mechanic for several places until he started to work for the M.V. Bluenose as a cook and later in the engine room. In his retirement he delivered papers. He was a collector of many things and he loved to work outdoors cutting wood. From a young age he had a passion for cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Hurlburt; children, David, Oshawa; Lori, Toronto; Susan, Oshawa; Sandy (Louise), Yarmouth; Danny, Oshawa; Tania (Tom) Boudreau, Wedgeport; Michelle (Tom) Upton, Yarmouth; Melissa (Chris) Atkison, Barrington; Tina (Chad) Doucette, Argyle; Elvis (Nicole), Canaan; Warren (Stephanie), Argyle; Wade, Canaan; brothers, Merle (Beverly), Harold (Helen), Wayne (Donna), Milton (Vickie), Terry (Judi), Dale (Anna Mae), and Glen, all of Ontario; 38 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Albert Jr.; sisters, Susan, Bonnie, and Helen (brother-in-law, Marshal Thornton). Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilsons Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where visitation was from 2:30 to 4 and again from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 24th. A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday from Beacon United Church, Yarmouth, Rev. Eric Whitehouse officiated. Memorial donations may be made to the IPF Foundation, Nova Scotia Chapter (Part of the Lung Association) or the Riverview Cemetery, Canaan. Family Flowers only.
