Peacefully at her late residence on Friday, March 3, 2017 of Valerie Harvie (nee Mitchell) of Charlottetown, age 61 years. Beloved wife of the late Omer Harvie and loving mother of Carrie (Steven) MacLean, Crystal (Mitchell) Thorne, Ida (Wyatt) Glover and Billie-Jean (William) Bourque. Cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sister of Gloria (Bruce) Jay, Roger (Jean) Mitchell, Allison (Valerie) Mitchell, Leslie (Karen) Mitchell, George Mitchell, Marlene (Paul) Weeks, Bev (Joey) Campbell and Doug (Bonnie) Mitchell. Sister-in-law of Simone Warten. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Ida Mitchell and brother Richard Mitchell. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Tuesday from St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart at 11 a.m. Interment later in The Peoples Cemetery, Mount Stewart.
