Passed peacefully away at his home surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, Roy Smith of Hatchet Cove, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan; sisters Belinda Smith and Ida Drover. Left with fond and loving memories his children Harold (Alice), Della (Dave Ivany), Michelle (Al Curtis), Roger (Kim Kelly), Kimberley (Dean White), Garrison, Tina (Rod Bushey) and Dennis (Kelly); grandchildren Danielle, Robyn, Jessica, Shane, Allison, Ashton, MacKenzie, Nathaneal, Joshua and Gavin; great grandchildren Dominic and Devan; step-grandchildren Dayna, Tammy, Kerri, Keith and Jeremy; special family Olive, Diane and Lorraine; sisters Gloria (George), Rachel (William-deceased), Eva (Patrick), Myra (Russell) and Alice (James); brothers Eliab (Hannah Jane-deceased) and William (Frances); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove. Funeral service took place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove with interment at the United Cemetery, Hatchet Cove. In his memory, donations may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John’s.
