Passed peacefully away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Wilmore "Fats" Howell, at the age of 83 years. He leaves behind in mourning his loving wife of 56 years, Josie Howell (nee Barry). Wilmore was a proud father of his two sons, who along with their partners are mourning his loss: Brad Howell and Laetitia Jesso; Dean and Krista Howell. The light and joy of his life were his three grandsons who will miss Pop dearly: Jared, Finn, and Keegan Howell. Wilmore will be sadly missed by his brother Ervin (Ida), sister Melisa Allen (Bob) and their families; brother-in-law Bobby Barry (Rita); sister-in-law Winnie Holmes (Bob) and their families; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents William and Martha Howell, sister Marina Hogan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Patty & Irene Barry, Tom & Mona Barry, Margaret Flier. Cremation has taken place. No service at Wilmore's request. Donations may be made in his name to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation, the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
