Passed peacefully away on March 5, 2017 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Elsie Hiscock, aged 74 years. Predeceased by her parents Wilson and Pearl (Fry) Morgan; father-in-law Gilbert Hiscock; brothers-in-law Clarence Forward, Gilbert Hiscock Jr., John Torkos, and George Baldwin; and sister-in-law Lona Hiscock. Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts, her husband and best friend of 51 years, Glenn Hiscock; her daughters Nancy (Dann) Pugh, Kim Hiscock, and Debbie (Todd) Sharpe. Elsie adored her grandchildren dearly, was so proud of the wonderful people they were becoming, and took pride in all their talents and accomplishments! She will be forever missed and loved by her special granddaughters Chelsea Skanes, Emily Skanes, and Meaghan Pugh; super grandsons Joshua Sharpe and Eric Sharpe; and honorary granddaughter Jamie Rodgers. Also mourning are Elsie's sisters Edith Baldwin, Madeline (Stan) Noel, Gloria Forward, and Linda (Gordana) Morgan; mother-in-law Ruby (Haye) Hiscock; brothers-in-law Baden (Genny) Hiscock, Keith (Kathie) Hiscock, Paul (Susan) Hiscock, and Barry (Janine) Hiscock; sisters-in-law Cynthia Torkos, Patsy Hiscock, Donna (Ted) Pyne, and Heather (Georges) Legault; and special friend Gordon Piercey; as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place in Barrett's Chapel on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11 am. Reception will follow funeral service in Barrett's Reception Lounge. Interment to follow at a later date. Special thank you to Dr. Orr and the nursing staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their wonderful care they gave mom while she was in the hospital.
