Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, in the presence of her loving family and friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017, Rowena Margaret Best, age 63 years. Predeceased by her parents, Berkley and Evelyn Best, and brother Donald Best. Leaving to mourn, her only sister, Anita Best (Darren Boyd); brothers: David Best (Violet) and William Best (Joanne); nieces and nephews: Michelle Best (Ed) and Michael Best (Lisa), Kimberley Best (Adam) and Jonathan Marshall (Victoria), David Best (Wanda) and Nancy Best (Shane); great-nieces and nephews: Brooklyn, Jared, Matthew, Kate & Sidney; as well as many extended family members and a large circle of friends - including her lifelong friends and her family of coworkers. Very special thank you to the many medical professionals and healthcare providers who've helped Rowena and her family throughout her illness. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, March 12, from 7-9pm, Monday, March 13, from 2-9pm, and on Tuesday, March 14, from 11am-1:30pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2:00pm. Interment to take place in Come By Chance at a later date.
