It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Alexander Rodway announce his passing on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Linda (Allan) Milley, Judy (John) Bishop, Bob (Glenda) Rodway and Lisa (Robert) Samms; grandchildren: Michael (Sheena), Christopher (Diane), Sandra, Brenda (Jason), Bryan (Katlyn), Courtney (Ryan) and Bradley; great-grandchildren: Stephen, Caiden, Kensie, Brayden, Cole and Brandon; sisters: Jean (Humphrey) Ford, Marguerite (Bill) Bungay and Helen (Charles) Higgins; sister-in-law Margaret Rodway; special caregiver Joanne Walton; special friends Pat and Pearl McCarthy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Maxine Rodway, daughter baby girl Rodway, parents Alfred and Lydia Rodway, sister Olive McWhirter, brothers Charles and Gordon Rodway. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, on Friday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 1 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue, with The Very Rev. Baxter Park officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
