At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, with his loving wife by his side, of Urban Joseph Gallant, of Nail Pond, P.E.I., age 86 years. Loving husband to Joyce (nee LeCLair) Gallant. Born at Nail Pond, P.E.I., on December 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Fidlas M. (nee Gaudet) Gallant. He is survived by a daughter Velda, of Charlottetown, as well as a sister Marie (late Arthur) LeClair, of the Garden Home, gCharlottetown. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughters, Donna and Darlene, his brothers and sisters, Hector Gallant, Viola Perry, Eva Perry, and by half brothers, William Perry, Joseph Perry and Medric Perry. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment of cremains to take place later in the Church cemetery.
