It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of John Wilfred Somerton. Age 42 years. John was a very loving and caring husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Predeceased by his father, grandparents and mother-in-law, as well as uncles and aunts. He will be deeply missed by his wife Connie (Lush) and four boys: Xander, Reed, Gordon and Theodore; loving mother Donna Green (Somerton nee Simmons); brothers Stephen Somerton (Stephanie, Vincent and Amber) and William Green (Devina, Bella and Zavier). John will also be sadly missed by his father-in-law Peter Lush (Jean), brothers-in-law Scott Lush (Krista, Peter, Eloise and Isaac) and Chad Lush (Joanne, Maggie, Sawyer and Anderson). The family will receive visitors at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday March 26, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. Memorial service to take place at Barrett's Chapel, Mt. Pearl on Monday March 27, 2017 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the family which will be directed to an education fund for his four boys of whom he was very proud.
