It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Ralph R. Hatfield, age 94, Springhill, NS on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Born in Fox River, NS, he was the son of the late Ross and Gladys (Brundt) Hatfield.
Ralph had many different vocations in life, including being the Senior Health Care Officer for the Springhill Institution when it opened in 1967. He loved hunting, ATV's, snowmobiles and other outside activities. A good game of 45's, or Darts entertained him over the years.
He will be dearly missed by his sons Brian (Ann), Bruce, Greg (Noelene), Kentley, and daughter Vikki (Jim) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ralph was one of seven and is survived by brothers Robert, Gerald and Arden (Linda).
Predeceased by his wife of 73 years Edna as well as son Gary, brothers Lorne, Jules and sister Doris.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery
